The Cobbold Family is a national treasure. It may not be the biggest or the best but it is certainly amongst the most interesting. The Trust is pledged to collecting and conserving the family's history, and providing access so that future generations can delve, discover and learn from what they find. FELIX THORNLEY COBBOLD CENTENARY
- The Cobbold Family History Trust is pleased to announce that Colchester & Ipswich Museums has enthusiastically agreed to mark the Centenary of Felix Thornley Cobbold (1841-1909) with an exhibition at Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich, which was itself one of FTC’s many gifts.
- The exhibition will run from 17th October 2009 to 17th January 2010 and will take the form of a trail integrated into the displays in Christchurch Mansion highlighting the many works of art funded by the FTC bequest. Additionally it will help to tell the story of FTC and his work.
- The opening ceremony will take place during a reception to be held at 6.0pm on Friday 16th October at Christchurch Mansion.
- The purpose of this notification is to ask you to PLEASE PUT THIS DATE OCT 16TH IN YOUR DIARY NOW.
