Family Tree Policy
Considerable effort is made to show the family tree accurately but mistakes and omissions can occur. If a visitor thinks we have something wrong please tell us what it is and why it is thought to be wrong. If a visitor knows of events or has information not shown please tell us. It will help if the visitors declare their degree of certainty.
The tree includes non-Cobbold families but these are normally limited to 2 or 3 generations in either direction unless they are of particular interest.
The Trust will withdraw the entry of any living person if asked to do so.
Advice on how to navigate around the tree is given on the opening page of the Family Tree section.
Aquisition Policy
It is NO part of the Trusts policy to seek to acquire anything with which the owner does not wish to part. Therefore the Trust is not a threat to anybody or anything. It IS however the Trusts policy to seek to acquire relevant items that might otherwise be lost, destroyed or fragmented.

The Settlor
Anthony Cobbold has been mildly interested in family matters for a number of years and in the process accumulated a collection of family books, papers and photos. Whilst agreeing in principle with the concept of dividing his estate equally between his children it did seem a pity to have to break up the collection. At about the same time he sustained a fairly severe attack of Family History Fever and decided to devote the better part of his remaining years to a study of the Cobbold Family. Hence the Trust. His lineage is shown below.
