This is the Cobbold Family Tree as we see it now. We know it is far from complete. We have tried to get it right but we have no monopoly on accuracy. There are ‘hatches, matches and (sadly) despatches’ all the time but we have no formal method of hearing of these events. So……

It is the family’s family tree and we need your input. Indeed the tree cannot grow without your help. Having said that we do operate a few rules for control purposes and these are explained at THE TRUST-FAMILY TREE POLICY. Basically these rules seek to gently keep growth within reason. If you are unhappy about your own personal information you are encouraged to CONTACT US so that it can be corrected or omitted. You may wish to visit DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY.

Compiling and maintaining a large family tree on a website in full public view is a demanding task. We plan to work at it steadily but it will take time so please be patient and visit frequently. In addition to telling us where correction and updating is necessary we appeal for your help with writing 300 word biographies of family members who you know. As far as your late parents are concerned for instance who better to do this sensitively than you? There is some advice on this point at HELP US PLEASE.

The Trust wants nothing more than for you to enjoy and contribute to our family tree. We hope you will do both.
